A round table "Implementation of the territory planning layout and the plan of socio-economic development of South Ossetia – guaranty of successfully laid foundation of the Republic's statehood" will take place today in the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia, Tskhinval.
The activity will be organized by the South Ossetian branch office of the Institute of Eurasia Studies and the Republican party "Edinstvo".
Politicians, political scientists and experts both from South Ossetia and Republic of North Ossetia-Alania will participate in the work of the round table, as IA "RES" was informed by Eleonora Bedoeva, the chairperson of the Tskhival unit of the RP "Edinstvo", hosting the round table.
"Party "Edinstvo" came up with the initiative to bring the Territory Planning Layout (TPL) to public discussion. We believe that our electors have the right not solely to know, but also take an active part in the state formation", - noted Bedoeva. The round table will focus on the goals and tasks of the TPL, Republic development strategy and the documents they will be reflected in, transport and engineering infrastructure of RSO, the opportunities to intensify economic links with RF etc. It is expected that the round table participants will prepare appeals of recommendation to the parliament and the government of RSO with request to adopt a law on the TPL and to plan the socio-economic development of the Republic for mid-and long-term periods on the basis on its basis.
