The Georgian authorities continue to organize protest actions against the engineering development of the state border of South Ossetia. As the news agency "Res" has been informed at the press service of the KGB of South Ossetia, in the border settlement of Dvani in Karel district of Georgia were held protest actions.
"The Georgian side has launched a new campaign with the participation of the authorities, the public and the local population. The actions were held in the immediate vicinity of the border, but the protesters did not come close to the border line," - said the KGB official.
He has added that the situation on the spot was being observed by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the EU Monitoring Mission.
The KGB believes that such actions have a direct link with the ongoing internal political processes in Georgia, in particular, the forthcoming presidential election and are arranged by certain forces in their own political purposes.
However, the Georgian side is deliberately aggravating the situation by conducting protest actions near the South Ossetian territory.
"The actions of the Georgian authorities are not aimed at maintaining peace and stability at the border with South Ossetia," - said the KGB.
The Georgian authorities not for the first time has organized actions aimed at disrupting the activities on development of the state border of South Ossetia. Earlier such actions with the participation of local residents and journalists were conducted near the border of South Ossetia.
The last action took place on October 4 near the Georgian village of Ditsi; another action on the same day was held near the village of Dvani.
