School of a young journalist gathered correspondents from 12 countries of the world in Moscow

Correspondent of the South Ossetian state news agency Res at the invitation of Rossotrudnichestvo within the framework of the New Generation program became a participant in the School of the young journalist Sputnik.
More than 32 journalists from 12 countries of the CIS and the Baltic States, South Ossetia and Abkhazia came to Moscow to participate in the project.
Within the framework of the events, they got acquainted with the work of the MIA "Russia Today", the journalists visited the agency newsrooms, conference halls, room for space bridges with modern sound recording equipment, and were thoroughly acquainted with the specifics of the work of the modern multimedia news agency.
On the first day of the project, the head of international projects Sputnik Vasily Pushkov and the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo press service Sergey Shatunov met with the young journalists.
Vasily Pushkov spoke about the history of the Russian International News Agency "RIA Novosti" and its transformation into the MIA brand "Russia Today".
"In 2015, the company" RIA Novosti " was liquidated, but as a result, these measures strengthened the agency and allowed employees to feel more confident," - said Pushkov.
According to Sergei Shatunov, Rossotrudnichestvo helps young professionals to meet, share experiences and gain new knowledge.
"We are interested in seeing as many journalists as possible come to Moscow to get acquainted with the working conditions. Several companies cooperate with us, but RIA Novosti is the most active, "Shatunov said.
Within the framework of the program, the cultural part of the project was envisaged a sightseeing tour around Moscow and a visit to the State Tretyakov Gallery. Young journalists met with representatives of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, where they were told about the structure and directions of the department's activities.
After the practical training it has taken place the presentation of certificates of successful completion of the school of young journalist of MIA "Russia today".
Anastasia Nikonova, a participant from Abkhazia, shared her impressions with Elina Gabaraeva, correspondent of IA Res, noting that "the school is a good platform for communication of young journalists".
"It's not the first time I've been trained in the agency "Russia Today ", I've been here before. The school program is rich and interesting, "the journalist noted.
It should be noted that the program of short-term study visits to the Russian Federation of young representatives of political, public, scientific and business circles of foreign countries "New Generation" was approved by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation on October 19, 2011 No. 1394. The program is implemented by Rossotrudnichestvo.
The trips are organized to familiarize with socio-political, socio-economic, scientific-educational, cultural life in Russia and prepare proposals for the development of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the states that they represent.
