President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov is on an official visit to the Russian Federation. The head of the Republic went to Moscow at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia, the meeting of the leaders of the two countries is scheduled for November 14.
The parties intend to discuss the whole range of issues of development of bilateral relations, primarily in the socio- economic sphere, as well as regional and international problems. Particular attention will be paid to the topic of strengthening security and stability in the Transcaucasian region.
The official visit of the President of the RSO will last until November 15, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs specified.
The previous meeting between Vladimir Putin and Anatoly Bibilov took place on May 2, 2017, shortly after the accession of the President of South Ossetia to the post.
During the May talks, the leaders of the two states discussed the security and socio-economic development of South Ossetia.
The Russian President in particular drew attention to the implementation of the Treaty of Alliance and Integration.
"I know that you are an ardent supporter of developing relations with Russia in various areas. We are implementing a well-known contract, which you have once actively supported. I hope very much that under your leadership the country will do all what we agreed, to implement this agreement , "Vladimir Putin stressed.
The Russian leader also promised to continue providing assistance to South Ossetia.
"Russia co-finances very many issues of a purely social nature; we plan to do it all in the future. We will develop the investment direction, I mean the restoration of the infrastructure of the Republic and the creation of conditions for economic growth, "said Putin during the May talks.
