The champion of the Olympic Games in Rio Soslan Ramonov won a three-time world champion and prize-winner of the Rio-2016 from Azerbaijan Hadzhi Aliyev. The victory went to our freestyle wrestler with the score - 3: 2 on the first day of the club championship of the league of India. This is reported by the website of the Wrestling Federation of Russia.
The championship is held in New Delhi from January 9.
In the first match there were meetings of two clubs - "Mumbai Maharathi", represented by Soslan Ramonov, and "Delhi Sultans", represented by Haji Aliyev. The athletes perform in the weight category up to 65 kg. Ramonov's victory helped "Mumbai Maharathi" to win the match with the score - 5: 2.
Six clubs participate in the championship, each of which has previously signed contracts with nine athletes from different countries.
The club championship of the wrestling league of India will end on January 26 with the final fights.
