The governments of St. Petersburg and South Ossetia in autumn intend to sign an agreement on cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian spheres, Chairman of the Government Eric Pukhaev said.
It should be noted that the South Ossetian delegation took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to the press service, “preliminary cooperation agreements between our governments were reached at the SPIEF site,”. At the moment, the parties are preparing a draft agreement, which, presumably, will be signed this fall.”
According to Eric Pukhaev, St. Petersburg and South Ossetia have a mutual interest in further deepening ties, creating favorable conditions for the development of market relations between business entities and improving investment cooperation.
“During the meetings with representatives of the St. Petersburg business community, issues of the development of such a promising area as the recreational industry were also discussed,” he said.
As noted by Deputy Chairman of the Government, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic Gennady Bekoev,,St. Petersburg and South Ossetia also intend to develop cooperation in the field of economy, health, culture, sports, tourism, youth policy, education and science.
