Representatives of the all-Russian organization “Officers of Russia”, led by the head of the veteran organization in Yaroslavl, lieutenant colonel of the FSB reserve Viktor Vysotsky, visited Tskhinval, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
"The group arrived in South Ossetia, including, on the invitation of the Defense Minister Ibrahim Gasseev, with whom they had known each other for several years. The group included border guard veteran Vitaly Zubov, singer and composer, guitarist Victor Dryagilev, who gave a concert", - Vysotsky said speaking at a concert in the military town of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
The concert was attended by officers of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces, military units, soldiers in military service.
Opening the concert, Viktor Vysotsky said that the group had been travelling around the cities of Russia, often visiting the cities of the Donetsk People's Republic and Abkhazia.
“Igor Dryagilev often speaks on the front line in front of the fighters. During last year’s meeting in Abkhazia, we received an invitation from the Defense Minister Gasseev to visit South Ossetia. And so, we have come to the border guards and to you,” he said.
Before performing the first song, Igor Dryagilev admitted that he was very pleased to be in South Ossetia, “in this beautiful land”.
“You know firsthand what the war is, so I will be glad to sing military songs for you,” he said.
The concert was opened by the author's song of the musician "We were staying in the war" For the officers this day also sounded the author's song “90 days” from the famous Russian film “Alive”.
“We took part in the creation of this film, so I’m happy to perform this song for you,” the musician said.
During the concert, other well-known songs from the repertoire of Dryagilev and other authors were performed for the personnel of the Ministry of Defense. The audience accompanied each song with applause.
At the end of the concert, Viktor Vysotsky presented a letter of gratitude from the organization “Officers of Russia” to the Deputy Minister for personnel work, Colonel Igor Alborov, for his help and assistance to the veterans' organizations. As a gift to the museum, a souvenir from Donetsk was presented, which is a metal sculpture made from a BMP projectile from the Donetsk airport with a rose, the petals of which are made of ammunition (zinc) packaging. The sculpture is called “The Symbol of War and Peace”.
Vitaly Zubov spoke on behalf of the border brotherhood of Russia. He thanked the leadership and servicemen of the Ministry of Defense for the warm welcome.
“We are one team, you are also guarding the borders of our great power,” he said.
Representatives of the group unrolled the flag of the DPR Republican Guard painted by fighters of the famous Pyatnashka battalion and the flag of the veteran organization Border Brotherhood, with inscriptions of famous personalities, including the Hero of the Soviet Union, a member of the Afghan war, the first commander of the legendary Alpha group Major General Vitaly Bubenich.
