There have not been registered cases of coronavirus in South Ossetia on the morning of April 30, Marina Kochieva, head of the South Ossetian Committee for Consumer Rights Supervision told IA "Res."

Kochieva has also noted that drivers of heavy vehicles that deliver food, medicine and other necessary goods to the Republic under restrictive measures at the border with Russia will leave for North Ossetia on Thursday.

At a meeting on Thursday, South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov instructed the Ministry of Health and Social Development and the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee to ensure the readiness of medical institutions in South Ossetia.

Medical facilities that provide outpatient and inpatient care, and provide emergency medical care, are instructed to ensure readiness to receive and promptly provide assistance to patients with respiratory symptoms, taking biological material from patients for examination for coronavirus infection COVID-19.

"We must make every effort and prevent the virus from penetrating into the Republic," said Anatoly Bibilov.

The Ministry of Health is instructed to ensure the isolation of persons arriving on the territory of the Republic for a period of 14 calendar days, as well as those with symptoms of COVID-19 coronavirus infection from the moment of detection. The resolution makes it possible for persons who are subject to self-isolation to issue certificates of disability without visiting medical organizations.

All information regarding medical monitoring of persons in self-isolation should be provided to the epidemiological authority.

The Ministry of Health will ensure the implementation of a complex of anti-epidemic measures against persons suspected of having a COVID-19 coronavirus infection. It also envisages the introduction of restrictive measures in all medical organizations of South Ossetia, ensuring compliance with the anti-epidemic regime.
