No new cases: 22 people in South Ossetia recovered from coronavirus

There are no new cases of coronavirus infection in South Ossetia over the past day, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, told IA “Res” on Tuesday.

Thus, on the morning of May 26, 14 people remained in the Republican Medical Center isolation ward, "in total, 22 people were discharged for the entire period with a previously confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, they all recovered completely."

“One more person’s diagnosis was subsequently changed,” said Gagloeva.

"The 109 tests during a day (1257 in total) showed a negative result, there are some dubious ones among them, the studies are continuing," the sanitary doctor said.

According to Gagloeva, 135 people are under a two-weeks quarantine, 103 are in medical institutions of the capital, 30 are in the Znaur district hospital, and 35 are in the hotel "Alan ".

The sanitary service calls for compliance with the rules applicable to the coronavirus pandemic. The South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Hotline continues to operate in South Ossetia: +7 (929) 810-60-96; +7 (929) 805-88-96.

The first three cases of coronavirus infection in the Republic were recorded on May 6.

The government of the Republic made a decision to extend the closure of the border of South Ossetia with Russia until June 30. The measures taken do not apply to citizens of South Ossetia returning to the Republic according to a specially developed schedule through the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The checkpoints with Georgia are also completely closed.

On Monday, some quarantine concessions began to operate in the Republic - restaurants, cafes, sports facilities, etc. were opened.
