Prime Minister of South Ossetia, Eric Pukhaev, voted on Monday on amendments to the Russian Constitution at the polling station located in the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia, the press service of the government reports.

The voting was also attended by employees of the government staff headed by the head of the Department Oleg Gagloev.

When asked by journalists how he assesses the voting process, Eric Pukhaev said that "all security measures have been observed, and everything is being done for the convenience of citizens."

"Russians today are choosing their country's tomorrow. In which direction it will be developing further depends on the concern of each citizen.

The priority of the Constitution of Russia is important. In particular, its commitment to strengthening peace and security, ensuring the peaceful coexistence of states and peoples, consolidating social guarantees and human rights, protecting the family and family values, the availability of quality medical care.

The majority of residents of our Republic are Russian citizens, so I urge all those who consider themselves part of the Russian state to take part in the vote. For the convenience of people, it is organized the delivery of people from the districts to the polling stations according to the schedule, all security measures were observed at the polling stations,” said Eric Pukhaev.

At the entrance, the Prime Minister's temperature was measured and he was given a disposable mask, gloves and a pen.

After the voting, Eric Pukhaev examined the premises of the polling station and evaluated the organization of work.

The deputies and staff of the Parliament of South Ossetia, headed by the Chairman of the Parliament, Alan Tadtaev, also voted on amendments to the Basic law of Russia on Monday. This is reported by the press service of the legislative body.

The voting took place at the polling station in the Russian Embassy in Tskhinval.

It should be noted that voting on amendments to the Constitution in Russia and the country's diplomatic missions abroad started on June 25.

Early voting on amendments to the Constitution of Russia will last until June 30, and will continue on voting day July 1.
