Since January 6, 146 people have been tested for coronavirus infection in the PCR laboratory of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, 49 of them are newly diagnosed cases that showed a positive result, the head of the Committee Marina Kochieva IA "Res." on Tuesday.
"The number of patients with a new coronavirus infection in the Republic has reached 2424. 1619 people have been removed from the medical register with a negative test for COVID-19," Kochieva said. "805 patients remain under medical supervision."
During the pandemic, 13,763 studies have been done in the PCR laboratory of South Ossetia. More than 60 people in the Republic have become victims of COVID-19.
The chief sanitary doctor of South Ossetia does not exclude an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 after the New Year's weekend.
