The number of detected cases of COVID-19 in South Ossetia over the weekend increased by 21, recovered 13, said Anna Gagloeva, Deputy Head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee said on Monday.

"For the entire time of the pandemic, as of February 1, 2,800 cases of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 were registered. On Friday, another 21 cases of coronavirus have been detected in our laboratory, a total of 238 studies were carried out on that day," Gagloeva said.

She has noted that over the entire period, almost 16 thousand tests for coronavirus by the PCR were done in the country.

Over the entire period of the pandemic, 2,000 people recovered, 800 citizens remain under the supervision of doctors.
