The telegram reads, in part:
“Today people of South Ossetia are marking one of the most sorrowful dates - the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Ered tragedy.
This terrible and inhuman event, which took place 30 years ago, still shocks by its special cruelty and cynicism, remaining an open wound in the historical memory of the South Ossetians.
The echo of the tragedy has met with unbearable pain in the hearts of residents of the Lugansk People's Republic, who, together with the fraternal people of the Republic of South Ossetia, fully share the bitterness of irreparable loss and grieve for the victims of the crime against the civilian population.
Such atrocities cannot be forgotten and are a constant reminder of the hardest trials the South Ossetian people had to overcome on their way to gaining statehood, the ability to independently determine their own fate and build a bright future for the Fatherland.
On this sorrowful day, please accept the deepest and most sincere words of condolences to the families and friends of the victims, as well as to all citizens of the Republic. "
