“We remember those who laid down their heads on the fields in the Great Patriotic War. It seems that everything has already been told and laid out on the shelves, everything and everyone knows about these tragic events in the history of our Motherland. But each time new historical facts emerge, and every year we see our past in a new way ... ", - said the presenter of the meeting, teacher of Russian language and literature at the Lyceum of Arts in the capital of South Ossetia Rimma Plieva.
This year, only seven veterans of the Great Patriotic War were able to meet the Victory Parade in Tskhinval. Only four of them can take part in the celebrations. Plieva has noted that every year there are fewer and fewer participants in the great war.

The head of state noted the huge role of the Great Russia in the security of the Republic of South Ossetia. He recalled that today the security of South Ossetia is provided by the servicemen of the 4th military base, the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia, who know how to keep the honor of their ancestors up to date.
