On Wednesday, President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov and Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Rashid Nurgaliev inspected the progress of laying a backup power cable through the Ruck tunnel.
During the inspection of the southern and northern tunnels, through which the cable will pass, they were told in detail about the stages of work, technical problems and completion dates.
According to Semyon Krylov, the General Director of the contracting organization SK Energoprogress LLC, the work is being carried out almost around the clock, there are no problems at the southern tunnel, the work will be completed in August.
The work on laying of the cable and its connection to the power grids of the Republic is planned to be completed according to the schedule, in October this year.
It should be reminded, that in September 2020, an agreement was signed in Moscow between the governments of South Ossetia and Russia on the technological connection of power infrastructure facilities. The construction of a backup power transmission line is carried out within the framework of the Investment Program for the Promotion of Socio- Economic Development.
