Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia, Znaur Gassiev, on behalf of President Anatoly Bibilov, took part in the farewell ceremony for a prominent compatriot, a talented translator, teacher of St. Petersburg State University Elena Nafievna Dzhussoeva.

According to the press service of the Embassy, ​​the ceremony took place in St. Petersburg on July 29.

Dzhusoeva Elena Nafievna, daughter of the famous writer, poet, publicist Nafi Dzhusoyty, was born in Leningrad in 1953. Elena Dzhussoeva was a talented translator from the French language, studied the history of French literature, taught French at the universities of St. Petersburg.

In her translation, a play by a famous French writer, poet and thinker at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries was published for the first time in Russian. Charles Peguy "The Mystery of Mercy of Joan of Arc", was published in Paris. In recent years, she was teaching at the Department of French at St. Petersburg State University, she was very fond of students.
