A meeting was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia on the implementation and operation of the Safe City hardware and software complex.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the project will cover the entire republic, 86 cameras of photo and video recording will contribute to a prompt response to various types of crime.
"The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Chief of Logistics, Major General of Militia Spartak Mardanov.
The meeting participants discussed the implementation of the second stage of the project, which includes the purchase, installation and testing of 86 photo and video surveillance cameras.
The management of Yug-Telecom, participating in the meeting, has noted that by December 1 of this year, the main work on the second stage will be completed, for this the organization's team will make every effort, "the press service said.
As noted by Spartak Mardanov, the program for building the "Safe City" agro-industrial complex is designed until 2022.
According to him, the first stage has already been successfully completed - this is the purchase of equipment for the data center, the second stage of work is the most ambitious, but will be completed by December.
"The program itself, which will facilitate a prompt response to various crimes, should be operational as soon as possible," the head of the logistics emphasized.
Spartak Mardanov has added that the implementation of the Safe City complex is under the special control of the country's President Anatoly Bibilov. The system must be built perfectly in order to achieve more effective law enforcement results.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff Major-General of Police Tarzan Kokoity, Deputy Chief of Criminal Police Colonel of Police Inal Pukhaev, Chief of the UPO and MC Colonel Artur Siukaev, Deputy Chief of UGIBDD Police Colonel Sergei Khodov, Chief of UOOP Colonel of Police Mair Gagloev and XO militia colonel Soslan Bitiyev and the management of the South Ossetian company LLC Yug-Telecom, which is the executor of the project.
