The third crew of the Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia is at the start of the "Tank Biathlon" competition of the International Army Games 2021 in Alabino near Moscow, the press service of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.
The team from South Ossetia will compete in the individual race at about 13.30.
“Among our team are the gunner-operator of the Guard Senior Lieutenant Alexei Mamiev, the tank commander of the Guard Senior Lieutenant Vadim Dudayev, the mechanic-driver of the Guard Sergeant Denis Kokoev,” the press service said.
Semifinal and final relay races start on August 31st.
The VII International Army Games are being held from August 22 to September 4 on the territory of 11 states. Representatives of almost a hundred countries took part in the forum and the Games. During the Games, more than 5,000 servicemen from more than 40 countries are competing in field, air and naval training competitions.
