The South Ossetian party at the meeting in the IPRM format once again declared the need to remove the Georgian post in the village of Uista, said the head of the South Ossetian delegation Yegor Kochiev, commenting on the results of the next meeting in the IPRM format in the Ergnet settlement on Monday.
“The main issue raised by the South Ossetian party at the meeting in the format of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism is the illegal Georgian post in the village of Uista. Unfortunately, the situation has not gotten off the ground yet, but we continue to demand the removal of this post. There are many problematic issues connected with this,” Kochiev said.
According to him, many issues are linked to the removal of the post, such as movement through border crossing points, seeking medical assistance, etc.
“During the period since the previous meeting, 11 violations of the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia were recorded, and appropriate decisions were made on them,” Kochiev said.
He has noted that the participants from South Ossetia also drew attention to the flights of unmanned aerial vehicles, manned vehicles from Georgia.
“Facts of violation of the state border by plane or helicopter from Georgia were also recorded. There were also facts of damage to boundary markers. We pose all these questions to international observers, representatives of the Georgian party,” Kochiev said.
The next meeting in the IPRM format on the border of South Ossetia with Georgia will be held on November 18.
