The processes taking place in South Ossetia testify to the forward movement of the Republic,
said President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov during the working meeting on socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and South Ossetia.
A delegation of the Russian government headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach is in Tskhinval on a two-day visit.
"The agenda under discussion, of course, is related to the development of the Republic, the implementation of the Investment Program, consideration of issues aimed at ensuring that the processes outlined together with the Russian colleagues develop more dynamically," the President said.
The President has added that the issues being discussed with the Russian party - financial assistance for socio-economic development of South Ossetia, the implementation of investment programs - are aimed at the well-being of the people of the Republic.
“The tasks we face are to make the life of South Ossetia residents more comfortable, to create jobs, receive budget revenues, and raise wages.
We can see this today, for which I want to say a huge thank you to the President of the Russian Federation, because after our meeting and the agreements reached, we are already seeing an increase in wages for employee of a government-financed organization and civil servants.
There is understanding and concrete work is underway to increase the salaries of servicemen. All this suggests that there is a forward movement of the Republic, "the President said.
According to him, thanks to the existing plans and developments, the economic development of the Republic will be more efficient and dynamic.
Dmitry Volvach, in turn, has stressed that economic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia, despite the difficulties with restrictions due to the coronavirus, are developing successfully.
"In the first half of this year, the indicators of the growth of foreign trade turnover between our countries were updated, the growth amounted to almost 67 percent compared to last year," he said.
The Deputy Minister said that the Russian delegation had inspected several facilities in South Ossetia on Friday.
“I am here for the first time, but I see that, indeed, a lot has been done. There are serious allotments for the future. I hope that we still have a lot to do. in the development of this agreement. We adhere to the position that all obligations under the agreements must be fulfilled by the parties, "said Volvach.
He has noted that the results of this interaction are tangible in many areas of the Republic.
"First of all, this is an increase in salaries of state employees and civil servants,
as well as employees of the internal affairs bodies, funds are allocated for the implementation of the investment program, "the Russian official said.
Volvach also drew attention to the importance of approving a jointly prepared program of socio- economic development of South Ossetia for 2022-2025.
“Just recently, it was updated taking into account the tasks and guidelines that were discussed in the Presidential Executive of Russia, slightly reformatted it. The main task of the document is to ensure the development of the economy, its investment attractiveness so that the Republic has more opportunities to support socially unprotected segments of the population at its own expense, "the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation emphasized.
He has added that the program provides for the growth of the Republic's own income by 60 percent.
Volvach has noted that the Russian party is ready to provide the Republic with technical assistance in the application of tax administration, which, according to him, will be a serious contribution to the overall system of strengthening budgetary security, balance and investment attractiveness of South Ossetia.
