In Tskhinval took place the international conference “South Ossetia at the Crossroads of Civilizations. Problems of Security and Sustainable Development ", organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic together with the Russian National Committee for the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (RNC BSEC).

In the commentary to IA “Res” one of the conference participants, a representative of the Serbian Republic, Technical Director of Neymar LLC Becho Djokovic shared his impressions of the Republic and its promising areas of development.

“This is my first visit to South Ossetia; the impressions are very good. I was surprised by the restoration of the Republic after the hostilities in 2008 - this cannot but rejoice. When I walked around in the morning, it seemed to me that there was no war here. Your country coped very quickly and rose from the ruins,” said Djokovic.

He has noted that the city is very well cared for: "It is very clean, which is also a big plus."

The conference participant also noted the beauty of the South Ossetian nature.

“I myself live among the mountains; they amaze me. Crossing the border of your republic, I was tirelessly watching the mountain landscape and was inspired by its beauty. The people are very good and close to us in spirit, they are also Christians, we immediately found a common language. It is very pleasant that you appreciate and know your history, there are many amazing old exhibits in your museums - this is impressive,” Becho Djokovic said.

According to him, the functioning of the university on the territory of such a small republic is a guarantee of good development, but, according to him, there is still much to strive for.

“In my opinion, it is necessary to develop industry and winter tourism in the Republic. These directions will be very successful”, - said the conference participant and shared his opinion on the architectural ensemble of the city.

“I believe that there is no need to touch the architectural appearance of the city. It would be great to leave everything as it is and continue building new facilities in the same format. High-rise buildings will spoil the appearance of this city,” said the technical director of Neymar LLC.

According to him, it is necessary to stop the outflow of people from the villages.

“It is necessary to develop living conditions in the countryside, for example, the mining business, so that people, on the contrary, would return to the villages. You have all the conditions for the development of winter tourism, and this potential must be used. After all, the fact that people leave the villages is a big problem, and the development of tourism is an excellent way to solve it,” Becho Djokovic said.

He has also noted that there are many mineral springs on the territory of South Ossetia, the export of which would be a good step for the development of the Republic's economy.
