On November 16, a citizen of Georgia, Kurtanidze Beka Giyaevich, born in 1990, a resident of Tbilisi, was detained by officers of the border service of the KGB of South Ossetia for violating the state border regime, the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reported.
“It has been established that the said violator on September 21 deliberately crossed the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia with Georgia in Znaur District and was illegally staying with relatives in the capital of the Republic.
On November 25, Kurtanidze was found guilty by the Znaur District Court of committing an administrative offense under Article 4, Part 2 of the RSO Law "On Administrative Responsibility for Violations in the Field of Protection of the State Border of the Republic of South Ossetia" and was punished with a fine with administrative expulsion from the Republic «, - said the press service.
They added that on November 25, Kurtanidze was handed over to the Georgian authorities in accordance with the established procedure.
