The meeting of Igor Maslov, head of the Presidential Administration for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, with the chairmen of factions and the deputy association was held in the Parliament of South Ossetia on Thursday.
The meeting took place without media representatives.
According to the press service of the legislative body, the Speaker of the Parliament has noted that significant assistance is being provided to the Republic by Russia, the Republic is developing.
“I would like to express my gratitude to you for the work that you are doing for the benefit of relations between South Ossetia and the Russian Federation. I am sure that your visit will bring positive adjustments to the relations between the two countries. The new program of socio-economic development will enable South Ossetia to move forward in the socio-economic sphere, help us to increase the production capacity in the Republic, and will be involved in both agriculture and industry,” Tadtaev said.
Igor Maslov, for his part, has noted that they came on a working visit and intend to see all construction projects under the program of socio-economic development.
"We have come on a working visit primarily to complete the discussion and outline the specific stages of completing the socio-economic development program for 2022-2025. We intend to look at those facilities that have recently been put into operation or not put into operation for various reasons, but were built with the involvement of funds from the Russian Federation.
We want to discuss the possibility of making the work on the socio-economic development of the Republic more effective, so that the funds invested here are beneficial,” Maslow said.
Maslov has stressed that they discussed at their meetings with the government and the President the issues included in the new program of socio-economic development.
“All these plans can be realized only with the joint work of the authorities here, and with full mutual understanding between the Russian Federation and the RSO. We must have a common value and a common coordinated effort,” he added.
The Russian official has also noted that they were present at the opening of the newly commissioned house on Heroes Street and were happy to see the happy faces of the people who received the keys to their new apartments.
The meeting was also attended by Viktor Shargaev, Deputy Head of the Department of the Presidential Executive Office for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and Russian Ambassador Marat Kulakhmetov.
For the South Ossetian part, the meeting was attended by the first Vice Speaker of the Parliament Peter Gassiev and the head of the Presidential Executive Office Igor Kozaev.
