On Sunday afternoon, a resident of Tskhinval discovered a dangerous find and reported it to the rescuers, Vazha Dzagoev, the head of the Emergency Situations Ministry's duty shift, told the IA “Res”.
“A woman living on Lenin Street, 130, reported to the emergency department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that she had found a grenade at the entrance of the storeroom while cleaning. We immediately sent sappers there and upon arrival it turned out that it was an F-1 combat grenade,” Dzagoev said.
According to the officer on duty, the call to the Ministry of Emergency Situations was received at 12:14 pm, at 12:15 the sappers left for the place. Vazha Dzagoev has added that the ammunition was taken out for destruction.
