Over the past day, 146 cases of infection with COVID-19 coronavirus infection have been detected in South Ossetia, which has become a new maximum since the beginning of the week, 115 cases were detected a day earlier, and 171 at the end of last week.
This is the data of 398 tests carried out in the PCR laboratory of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee on Tuesday.
"To date, 1,22 residents of the Republic are under the supervision of doctors, 38 people have been removed from the medical register. The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic has grown to 11,422, 10,400 have recovered," Marina Kochieva, the head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee told the “Res” news agency.
Since the beginning of the new year, there has been a sharp increase in newly detected cases of coronavirus infection in the Republic. In total, during the pandemic, the PCR laboratory of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee conducted 59,931 tests for COVID-19.
