The Foreign Ministry sent a congratulatory message to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Finance of the Republic of Nauru on the occasion of the country's Independence Day, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia reported.
“For more than half a century, the people of Nauru have gone through a long and convincing path of state building. The republic actively participates in international foreign policy processes, consistently strengthening the country's authority in the region and on the world stage, successfully solving important tasks in the field of socio-economic development,” the Ministry said.
The congratulatory message also says that South Ossetia treats the people of Nauru with great respect and gratitude, highly appreciates and cherishes the strong friendship between the two countries, counts on the further expansion and strengthening of interstate relations based on mutual trust and common principles of peace and alliance.
