Chairman of the Public Chamber of South Ossetia Sergey Kudziev and members of the staff of the Chamber paid a working visit to the Public Chamber of North Ossetia, the press service of the Public Chamber reported.
Chairmen of the Public Chambers Nina Chiplakova and Sergey Kudziev, as well as heads of the bodies Kazbek Agnaev and Zarina Dzhioeva discussed the details of organizing the work of the chambers, outlined joint plans for the future. They were talking about the development of civil society institutions, the role of non-profit public organizations, holding joint events, cooperation in the cultural and spiritual sphere, as well as developing the institution of independent public observation.
“The Public Chamber of North Ossetia has developed a very successful practice of interregional cooperation. We are happy to cooperate not only with colleagues from the public chambers of the North Caucasus, but also from other regions of Russia. Well, it is all the more important and mutually interesting for us to work in the closest contact with the brothers in the south of Ossetia. The field for joint activity is huge. In these difficult times, it is especially important to consolidate the entire society in the fight against the pandemic, with its socio-economic consequences. We are sincerely ready to help our colleagues in the south of Ossetia with our best practices, our experience,” said Nina Chiplakova.
To ensure that the Public Chamber is not a formal body, but a real instrument for defending the interests of society is one of the key tasks set by the head of the Public Chamber of South Ossetia, Sergei Kudziev.
“The Public Chamber of South Ossetia was formed for the first time in 2010, but a lot has changed in 11 years. We are aiming for a "reboot". Our main task is to ensure that the interests of citizens and residents of the Republic are taken into account as much as possible in the formation and implementation of state policy, their rights and freedoms are protected, the role and activities of the republican public associations increase and become more active. We will try to improve the efficiency of the work of the Public Chamber,” the Chairman of the Public Chamber of South Ossetia emphasized.
The fifth convocation of the Public Chamber of South Ossetia was formed in March 2020. It consists of 16 people, three commissions.
On September 22, 2020, the Chairmen of the Public Chambers Nina Chiplakova and Sergey Kudziev signed an Agreement on cooperation and interaction.
