Investors in South Ossetia are exempted from almost all types of taxation until they make a profit, Prime Minister of the Republic Gennady Bekoev said on the air of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "Ir".
“In 2020, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, investors faced problems related to the delivery of raw materials and the export of products.
Therefore, during the period of these restrictions, it was decided to reduce the commission for money transfers from 1 percent to 0.3. This has been a significant help for investors. In general, very good conditions for business and project implementation have been created for them in the Republic. They can enjoy tax benefits, which is important," Bekoev said.
According to him, investors are showing interest in South Ossetia.
"Security in the Republic is ensured by the presence of the Russian base, tax incentives are provided, that is, there are no threats to doing business. We just need to bring this information to them, which, by the way, is being diligently done by the Ministry of Economic Development. There is a popularization of tourism, economic processes, tax benefits, all those mechanisms that have been introduced into our legislation for the convenience of investors.
We will continue to improve it in the field of investment activities, public-private partnership," he said.
