Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev has received international observers from the Republic of Turkey, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic reported.
The delegation includes: Khosity Burkhan, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic in the Republic of Turkey and Yilmaz Batibey, Chairman of the Federation of the United Caucasian Societies of Turkey, who arrived in South Ossetia for the presidential elections in South Ossetia.
Dmitry Medoev greeted the guests and thanked them for their interest in the events taking place in the political life of South Ossetia. He also noted that the leadership of the Republic had done everything necessary to ensure that the elections were held in a calm, constructive manner.
The guests, in turn, have stressed that being in South Ossetia on the day when a new page in the history of South Ossetia is being written is very symbolic and significant for them.
At the end of the meeting, Yilmaz Batibiy solemnly handed Dmitry Medoev the decision of the Federation leadership to award him the title of Honorary Member of the Federation of the United Caucasian Societies of Turkey.
