"Antigone" by Tamerlane Dzudtsov became a laureate of the "Bosporus Agons" festival

The South Ossetian State Drama Theater became a laureate of the XXIV International Festival of Ancient Art "Bosporus Agons" in Kerch in the nomination "For a modern interpretation of the ancient theme," Tamerlan Dzudtsov, the artistic director of the theater, told the IA “Res”.

“We presented to the jury of the theatrical competition “From Antiquity to Modernity” the play “Antigone” based on the play of the same name by the French playwright and screenwriter Jean Anouilh and the ancient Greek playwright Sophocles, which was held as part of the festival.

The image of Antigone in the performance was presented by the artist Zarina Bekoeva, Gemon was performed by Geor Valiev, Creon was performed by People's Artist of South Ossetia Soslan Bibilov.

The director of "Antigone" is Tamerlan Dzudtsov.

The performance was presented in Ossetian with simultaneous dubbing.

The International Festival of Ancient Art "Bosporus Agons" started in Kerch on June 9 and ends today, June 17.
