41 violators detained on the border of South Ossetia in May – the KGB

In May, 41 violators of border legislation were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia, the press service of the KGB reports on its official website.

"Of them: 23 are violators of the regime of the state border, 18 - of the border regime," the KGB has clarified.

The Border Service of the State Security Committee conducted investigations on each fact of violation of legal regimes.

"As a result of procedural activities in relation to violators of the existing administrative and legal regimes at the state border, administrative measures were applied with explanatory work, during which 39 people were subjected to an administrative fine, 2 people were expelled from the Republic of South Ossetia under Article 14 of the Law "On the State Border of the Republic of South Ossetia" "without penalties," the statement reads.

The Border Guard Service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia draws the attention of citizens and guests of the Republic, including tourist groups, as well as persons arriving on religious holidays, about the need to have identification documents with them (passport, service ID, birth certificate for minors, and for foreign citizens - as well as passes to the border zone) when traveling and staying in the border zone of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The Border Guard Service of the KGB also reminds citizens, organizations and state enterprises that with the onset of the period of arable and other seasonal agricultural work in areas located in the border zone of the Republic of South Ossetia, it is necessary to submit documents in advance for obtaining appropriate permits for conducting economic activities. Permits are issued at the Border Service at the address Tskhinval, Khetagurov st.1, tel. 45-43-43.
