Alan Gagloev congratulated Nicolas Maduro on the Independence Day of Venezuela

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev congratulated President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro on Independence Day, the press service of the head of state reports.

“On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on behalf of the people of the Republic of South Ossetia and on my own behalf, I send you and all the Venezuelan people my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.

The policy pursued under your leadership creates a reliable basis for the further development and advancement of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and also opens up wide opportunities for fruitful cooperation between our countries," the congratulation reads.

Gagloev has noted that the people of Ossetia will always remember with gratitude the invaluable support that Venezuela provided to the Republic, recognizing South Ossetia as the independent and sovereign state.

“For my part, I assure you, dear President, that people of South Ossetia highly value friendship with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and are determined to further developing friendly interstate relations, filling cooperation between our countries with mutually beneficial projects.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you, Mr. President, good health, inexhaustible energy, new achievements and the realization of all your plans, and the people of Venezuela - peace, success and prosperity," the message says.

Venezuela recognized the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia on September 10, 2009. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez announced the recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia during his visit to Russia.
