President Alan Gagloev has received the delegation of the Republic of Dagestan, who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebrations in honor of the 14th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation, the press service of the head of state has reported.
The delegation was headed by Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs Enrik Muslimov.
“August 26 is a fateful day for the people of South Ossetia, which has become the starting point of its sovereign revival,” the head of state said, welcoming the guests.
Alan Gagloev has stressed that people of South Ossetia had to go through thorns in order to gain independence.
“And on this path, we have always felt your fraternal support and are grateful for it. Thank you for sharing this significant holiday with us,” he said.
For his part, Enrik Muslimov congratulated the President and the people of South Ossetia on the holiday and wished peace and prosperity.
“As for our relations, they must develop and reach a new level. We have something to share with each other,” he said.
Enrik Muslimov has also noted that it is not easy to be responsible for the fate of the people, and wished Alan Gagloev the right decisions and the favor of the people.
“I am sure that the decisions you make will be for the benefit of the people and we will see the development of South Ossetia both in the socio-economic and socio-political direction,” he said.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov and the head of the Office of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Dzhussoev.
