President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev expressed gratitude to the Russian side for their support in resolving the issue at the Lower Zaramag checkpoint, which has been worrying the citizens of the Republic for a long time.
He has stated this during a meeting with a delegation of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, headed by Sergei Tsekov, a member of the RF Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, who arrived in the Republic to participate in a meeting of a joint commission on inter-parliamentary cooperation.
“There is a very big problem at the Lower Zaramag checkpoint. The issue is being resolved through the ministries of Russia, including the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, and the Presidential Executive Office of Russia. I know that you supported us in resolving this issue, for which I express special thanks to you,”said Gagloev.
For his part, Senator Sergei Tsekov expressed readiness to help solving this problem.
Gagloev has noted that within the framework of the commission's meeting, topical issues were regularly raised, which in the majority have already been resolved.
“We appreciate the trusting relationships that have developed between us, they are always aimed at constructive work,” Gagloev said. - South Ossetia has always felt the support and assistance of Russia, our strategic partner. The vector of South Ossetia always exists and was directed exclusively towards the Russian Federation.”
The head of state has noted that the citizens of South Ossetia, together with the Russian servicemen, are fulfilling the tasks assigned to them by the RF Defense Ministry.
“Representatives of South Ossetia, together with Russian servicemen, are fulfilling the tasks that the Russian leadership sets before them, we have no doubt that victory will be ours,” Gagloev emphasized.
Gagloev has added that within the framework of interaction between Russia and South Ossetia, the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia always makes its significant contribution.
Tsekov, in turn, noted that the Federation Council would do everything possible to provide the necessary assistance to South Ossetia.
“We have great opportunities,” said Tsekov. I would like you to develop successfully, use your inner capabilities.
Tsekov also invited the President of South Ossetia to solemn events on the occasion of the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
At the end of the meeting, the head of state presented the guests with silver coins issued by the National Bank of South Ossetia.
