The Border Service of the State Security Committee of South Ossetia continues the process of unilateral arrangement of the South Ossetian-Georgian border, the press service of the department reports.
“Currently, the work is underway to fencing the sections of the state border, where the detention of violators most often occurs, as well as unauthorized crossings (grazing) of livestock,” the press service said.
The KGB has added that these measures are carried out by the border authorities strictly within the competence and in accordance with the legislation of the Republic in the border area and are aimed solely at ensuring the security of the citizens of South Ossetia.
“The KGB calls on residents and guests of the Republic to treat with understanding the measures taken in the interests of protecting the state border and the restrictions arising in connection with this,” the department stressed.
