In Sukhum on Friday, a meeting was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev, and his Abkhaz counterpart, Inal Ardzinba, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
Akhsar Dzhioev expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and congratulated the people of Abkhazia on the upcoming Victory Day in the Patriotic War, wished peace, prosperity and further victories.
Inal Ardzinba, for his part, noted the special significance of the participation of the delegation of fraternal South Ossetia in the ceremonial events on such an important day for the Abkhaz people.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the security situation in Transcaucasia, the progress of the Geneva discussions, as well as various aspects of bilateral relations. The importance of intensifying bilateral dialogue was noted in the context of the difficult geopolitical situation in Transcaucasia.
