The performance "Azhashkhanla" of the K. Kuliyev Balkar State Theater based on the novel by Chingiz Aitmatov "And the day lasts longer than a century" was shown in Tskhinval the day before.
According to the press service of the Melpomene Temple of South Ossetia, the Balkar theater team was awarded a letter of gratitude from Minister of Culture Rada Dzagoeva, honorary diplomas of the Ministry were awarded to Honored Artist of the KBR, leading actor of drama Fatimat Zhangurazova, director Aubekir Miziev, leading actor of drama Murat Gilyakhov.
The production has already been presented at many theater venues around the world.
The play became a kind of calling card of the Balkar Theater and received two prizes at the Southern Stage festival for best director and best actor.
The plot of the production centers on the problem of the relationship between father and son, insidious murder and the devotion of people not related by blood. The action-packed performance with an unexpected ending unfolds against the backdrop of scenery in the style of neo-symbolism and surrealism.
