The meeting was held in Moscow on Friday between Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev, and Secretary of State of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, Dmitry Mezentsev, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
“The head of the Foreign Ministry informed the Secretary of State of the Union State about the upcoming visit of the delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, which has observer status,” the press service has noted.
Dmitry Mezentsev spoke about the activities of the permanent committee of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, as well as about the events planned for 2024, especially noting two upcoming anniversaries - the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Union Treaty.
