The final meeting of the participants of the World Youth Festival with the government officials was held in the conference hall of the South Ossetian State University.
The youth received parting words from Minister of Foreign Affairs Akhsar Dzhioev, rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev, Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office Alan Tibilov, as well as other officials.
Alan Tibilov has expressed confidence that the South Ossetian youth will worthy represent the Republic at the Forum.
“Extensive work was carried out to select participants by the organizers. You are the best of the 400 people who were selected in our Republic. Our youth have proven more than once that they are very talented and I am confident that you will represent the Republic with dignity,” Tibilov said.
The South Ossetian State University Rector Vadim Tedeev has emphasized that the World Youth Festival is a large-scale event and the South Ossetian youth have a great responsibility to represent the Republic with dignity, which, according to him, he has no doubt about.
“This is a large-scale event, you have a great responsibility. As a rule, the opinion about the Republic is formed thanks to young citizens who often take part in various events outside the Republic. I am confident that your participation in the Forum will be as productive as possible. I am proud of the youth of South Ossetia, my students, and I am confident that you will represent the Republic with dignity,” Tedeev has emphasized.
Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev called the World Youth Festival a global event from a foreign policy point of view.
“Indeed, a very big event is coming. The participation of the leadership of the Russian Federation is also expected. A rather large quota was allocated for small South Ossetia. This suggests that our strategic partner, Russia, pays very close attention to South Ossetia. I am confident in every participant from our Republic, good luck to you,” said Dzhioev.
The Republic's delegation of more than 120 people will be headed by Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office Alan Tibilov.
The delegation included young journalists, politicians, social activists, athletes, artists and others.
The World Youth Festival will be held in Sirius from March 1-7. More than 20 thousand people from Russia and foreign countries will gather at it.
