Speaker of the Parliament Alan Alborov has received a delegation from the Russian State Duma that arrived in South Ossetia as observers of the parliamentary elections.
Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia has noted that the elections clearly demonstrate the maturity of the state structures, having also emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary relations between South Ossetia and Russia.
“As close friends, we always visit each other for important events and confirm our strategic relationship. I would like to emphasize your great role in the processes taking place in South Ossetia. I want to thank you for your support. I can say with great confidence that the agreements signed both with the State Duma of Russia and with our fraternal North Ossetia, thanks to your constant help, are working,” the press service has quoted him.
First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, the head of the delegation Kazbek Taisaev has emphasized that issues of South Ossetia discussed in the State Duma are almost always resolved unanimously.
“This is not the first time we have come here as international observers; we are always glad to be here. When the State Duma is talking about South Ossetia, whether it is the adoption of some bills, the ratification of agreements, this is a rare case when we do not have a division into political parties," Taisaev has stressed.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts.
