The State Song and Dance Group "Simd" performed a solo program on the stage of the Russian Theater in Makhachkala as part of its participation in the international festival "Highlanders". This was reported by the press service of Ministry of Culture of South Ossetia.
It is noted that as part of the tour, “Simd” will perform concerts in Kaspiysk, as well as in Karachay-Cherkessia and the Chechen Republic.
“Within the framework of the “We are Russia” program, the State Song and Dance Group “Simd” is taking part in the XXII International Festival of Folklore and Traditional Culture "Highlanders" , which is taking place from June 28 to July 3 in the Republic of Dagestan,” the message says.
In addition to South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the festival is attended by representatives from Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as participants from all regions of Russia.
As added by the press service, this year, by the agreement of Ministries of Culture of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, “Simd” is included in the all-Russian tour and concert plan as part of the “We are Russia” program.
The program is implemented by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "ROSCONCERT".
