Director of the Central Library of Tskhinval Irina Prokopenko is taking part in the Forum "Our Libraries: Read in Russian" in St. Petersburg, the Russian House in Tskhinval reports.
The event is taking place at the Vladimir Mayakovsky Central City Public Library.
"The professional development program brought together representatives of cultural institutions from 10 countries, including India, Abkhazia, the CIS countries, etc.," the press service jas noted.
The first Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee on External Relations Sergei Markov made a welcoming speech at the opening, calling the program another initiative implemented within the framework of a series of projects to promote the Russian language."
The participation of the compatriot from South Ossetia was made possible with the assistance of the Russian House in Tskhinval.
