This year, South Ossetia was allocated a limit of 2.8 billion rubles for preferential lending, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Dmitry Volvach told journalists, who attended the opening of the canning plant in the Republic.
"Of these, 2.7 billion are distributed among 4 large projects, one of which is the canning plant, the opening of which took place in the Republic. That is, I hope that we will have more than one reason to meet and present new or revived old projects, which, in my opinion, will truly become the basis for a new industry, a new economy of the Republic of South Ossetia."
According to Volvach, the results of the implementation of the projects in South Ossetia will be - jobs, taxes, recognizable brands, exports.
"This is the standard of living, the desire of people to live and work in their homeland, and to work in such modern technological production facilities as a canning factory, as well as to participate in global commodity exchange, because bringing these products to global markets is an interesting task that the company will have to deal with the support of the Republic," he has emphasized.
Volvach has added that the enterprise will produce a whole line of environmentally friendly and safe products.
"On the one hand, this is very risky and responsible, and on the other hand, engaging in agriculture, producing environmentally friendly food products is very noble. That is, this can definitely become, for example, the basis for the production of baby food, which is characterized by very high requirements," the Deputy Minister said.
He has noted that the company has already serious plans to expand its land in order to sow new gardens.
"For local residents, this will also be a very serious help, because they will be guaranteed to take the entire harvest from local farmers," Dmitry Volvach has emphasized. - It seems to me that a colossal business process has been launched, which in 5 years will turn into an entire industry, an entire food industry, recognizable not only in South Ossetia and Russia, but also beyond their borders."
