Employees of the Prosecutor General's Office of South Ossetia took part in the All-Russian scientific and practical conference, organized by the Rostov branch of the St. Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

As reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the event was held in the format of a video conference and was dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day.

A report was made at the conference by the acting Prosecutor of Dzau district, senior lecturer of the criminal law department of the South Ossetia State University Georgy Gazzaev.

“This event contributed to the exchange of experience, strengthening and developing interaction, further cooperation between the prosecutor's offices and the investigation of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation,” the press service has noted.

The conference included a discussion of issues related to the fight against corruption. Particular attention is paid to the problems of identifying and investigating official and corruption crimes, measures to combat corruption, as well as issues of qualifying the actions of the guilty perpetrators and their subsequent prosecution.

The event was also attended by employees of the Russian Prosecutor's Office, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, as well as other educational organizations of the Russian Federation, the Southern Customs Administration, the Committee on Youth Policy of the Rostov Region, the Anti-Corruption Department under the Governor of the Rostov Region, and students of Russian universities.
