On Saturday, South Ossetian schoolchildren were shown the documentary film "Callsign" by the North Ossetian Academy of Cinematography.

The film tells the story of the Ossetian fighters participating in the special military operation.

The screening took place in the Chermen Cinema and ConcertHall in Tskhinval. Among the spectators in the hall was a participant of the special military operation from South Ossetia, Atsamaz Kokoev.

As the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Republic, Sergei Komissarov, told the "Res" news agency, the event was held as part of the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland and honoring the heroes of the special military operation.

"The idea of screening this film was voiced at the meeting with the director of school No. 2, Olga Mikhailidi.

Initially, a creative meeting with the film's director and representatives of the camera crew was planned.

But they were unable to come, as they are actively working on a new project.

In the future, this film can be shown at other venues, in the educational institutions," he has noted.

According to the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office, the event was attended by many schoolchildren, and there were no empty seats in the hall.

"If this is the attitude to the topic of patriotism in the Republic, then the society really has a good future," Komissarov has emphasized.

The screening was organized on the initiative of the management of the Tskhinval School No. 2 with the support of the Republic's Ministry of Culture and the Russian House in Tskhinval.
