The Treaty of Alliance and Integration signed between Russia and South Ossetia marked a transition to a fairly new level of development of cooperation and interaction between the two countries, South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev has noted during the press conference in Tskhinval.
According to him, the Treaty of Alliance and Integration has incorporated all possible aspects that both parties planned to implement and develop jointly.
“Russia has been playing a leading and huge role in this process, and it is thanks to its support in all areas that we have made a huge step forward in terms of improving almost all areas covered by this Treaty. Within the framework of this Treaty, the agreements are being implemented in all areas,” the Minister has emphasized.
As noted by Dzhioev, in addition to the aspects related to socio-economic spheres, education, culture, healthcare, security, the agreement also separately spells out the aspect of developing foreign policy relations.
“The preamble to the agreement notes that our relations are based on deep historical and spiritual ties that meet the national interests of both states. This phrase contains the depth of our interaction, which we are obliged to extend. Not only in the format of this agreement, but also in all other areas, we will focus, interact and expand our cooperation,” Dzhioev has noted.
