South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev, together with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin and heads of foreign states, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden, his press service reports.
Those present at the laying ceremony honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.
Earlier, President of South Ossetia took part in the military parade in Moscow to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
