Тhe North Ossetian Republican Public Organization "Association of Special Military Operations Veterans" posthumously awarded several South Ossetian heroes the medals "For Military Valor" and "For Distinction in Combat."
The awards were presented to the families of the fallen soldiers in Tskhinval on Tuesday.
The words of support and gratitude were expressed by a volunteer from the "Alania" separate sabotage and reconnaissance detachment, call sign "Gode."
"The names of our brothers, our heroes, must never be forgotten. I want to thank you all for raising such heroes," he said.
The Medal "For Military Valor" – for personal courage, bravery, and dedication during the special military operation, in the battles defending the Fatherland, contributing to the successful completion of combat missions and inflicting significant damage on the enemy – was posthumously awarded to Alan Tedeev, Soslan Kharebov, Murat Gubiev, and Zaur Bestaev.
The Medal "For Military Distinction" – for personal courage, bravery, and dedication during a special military operation, in the battles defending the Fatherland, contributing to the successful completion of combat missions and inflicting significant damage on the enemy – was posthumously awarded to Shalva Alborov, Bagrat Gassiev, Azamat Bitiev, Alan Alborov, Khokh Bagaev, and Gamat Gagloev.
The Special Military Operation members present at the meeting expressed words of support and deep condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers, emphasizing that their names and heroic deeds will forever remain in their memory.
Along with medals, national flags inscribed with the soldiers' call signs were presented to the families of the fallen heroes.
Alan Gabaraev, the head of the Tskhinval Administration, also attended the meeting. On behalf of the Republic's leadership, he expressed gratitude to Vyacheslav Mildzikhov, the head of the Vladikavkaz local government administration, for his assistance in organizing the event.
