Abkhazia and South Ossetia will sign the agreement on duty-free transportation of goods, the head of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev said at the ceremonial meeting in honor of the 80th anniversary of the first President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba.

He has noted that the leadership of South Ossetia and Abkhazia are taking certain steps to develop and strengthen the already established friendly relations between the fraternal peoples.

The delegation of the Russian Federation Council and members of the South Ossetian Parliament, headed by Speaker Alan Margiev, visited the Eternal Flame memorial in Tskhinval, honoring the memory of the fallen heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

The guests of the Republic and the parliamentarians also laid flowers at the Memorial Complex to the Fallen Defenders of the Republic.

Then the delegation visited the National Museum of the Republic.

The duty unit of the South Ossetian Interior Ministry has received a message that ammunition was found in a forest near the Tskhinval-Zar highway, the press service of the department reported on Wednesday.

It was noted that the riot police officers had left for the scene.

“The Sappers have established that the discovered ammunition is presumably 5 RPG-26 Mukha, 3 anti-tank rounds from RPG-7 and an anti-tank grenade in a combat position,” the Interior Ministry listed.

The discovered ammunition will be taken to a training ground for subsequent destruction.
