The foreign media used the Georgian citizen in propaganda efforts – the South Ossetian KGB

The South Ossetian KGB, with the assistance of the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained a resident of the village of Leningor, suspected of transmitting information to the foreign media outlets affiliated with Georgian intelligence services, the agency's press service reports.

"The media used the citizen in propaganda the efforts to promote the interests of Georgia and its Western partners," the press service stated.

The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry responded to Georgia's demand that Russia withdraw from the Republic

Georgia needs to understand that Russia's recognition of South Ossetia's independence will not change, and move toward building constructive relations, South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev told RIA Novosti.

"Regarding Tbilisi's calls for Russia to withdraw from South Ossetia and revoke its recognition, we have repeatedly seen the Russian Federation emphasize these decisions at the highest level. And Russia, as a nuclear power and a major global power, will not reverse these decisions. I think Georgia needs to accept and recognize these realities," he said

The issue of removing the Georgian police post near the village of Uista remains a key issue for South Ossetia. Yegor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation to the IPRM, told journalists.

According to him, this issue is raised at every meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism.

"Such issues cannot be resolved within a single meeting or a single request. However, the work is underway in this direction, and there have already been some positive developments," Kochiev has noted.
